Changing Networks From 3g to 2g Large Pring Edition:
To perform these operations you must be able to access the appropriate menu options, if you find these options missing then your phone has been locked and will need a factory reset by cable. See the section on factory resets for more details.
- Insert the sim card of your choice into the phone as described on Page 18 of the Nokia Manual. You may now charge the battery and continue with these steps at the same time.
- Turn on the phone, and access the Menu -> Settings -> Phone Settings -> Network Mode
- Then to work in 2g only mode select GSM
- To turn the phone back to work on 3 or other 3g networks simply choose Dual mode from that menu.
- The phone should now work fine with your normal 2g sim card from any network.
More instructions on this see page 65-66 of the Nokia manual.

Changing Networks Settings Large Pring Edition:
You can visit the Nokia website @ http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,54551,00.html which will allow you to get your network settings sent to your nokia phone free of charge. They do not send 3 network settings as yet. I will put the 3 network settings on here, plus a file to use with the Nokia Backup & Restore software.

Unlock the phone for 2g only networks:
http://www.trycktill.com/eng/unlock_swe.asp
Instructions for above Web Site:
- First select the English language option towards the bottom left of the page.

- Then choose these options: (you have to select one at a time and the page will keep updating)

- Follow the instructions to get the IMEI Number from the phone, or simply get it off the side of the box.

- Enter the IMEI code, and check the disclaimer box after reading the terms.
- The Boxserial is usual the default 'Prodigy' one, but look on the outside of your phones packaging to see if there are any numbers such as
32802
- If you see a number like this, choose Manual from the Boxserial dropdown box and enter the code number in the Boxserial field.
- Once you have clicked the “Generate Code” button you will get a list of codes similar to the ones seen below, use the ones they provide on the site as they are customised to each individual phone.

- Follow the instructions below this list titled “How to enter the generated code" to finish the process.
Finally you should be able to use this website to unlock any other compatible phones you have by customising the options above (e.g. virtually any other nokia phone from any UK network etc)
You may also need to get your phone factory reset to allow other networks to perform normally
